Niagara Falls, Ontario: plan a photo visit

Niagara rewards both a wide view of the river and a closer look at the moving water. Keep the plan on the Canadian side unless you have separately arranged a border crossing.

Suggested time: one day. Open destination map

Key sights and photo ideas
  • Table Rock Centre — Orient yourself beside Horseshoe Falls and follow the public riverfront viewpoints.
  • Journey Behind the Falls — Consider the lower perspective if the attraction is available for your dates.
A suggested itinerary
  1. Morning: start at Table Rock and explore nearby viewpoints with breaks away from the spray.
  2. Afternoon: add one booked attraction, then revisit the riverfront in different light.
Travel and photography tips
  • Check the current Journey Behind the Falls redevelopment notices before booking.
  • Protect the camera from spray and keep walkways clear when stopping.
  • Allow time for queues and a meal rather than stacking timed attractions.
